Infusing functional fitness with archery - this forgotten Sunnah sport is not just for fun, but helps the youth to engage on a spiritual, mental & physical level!
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Reviving ancient methods using a traditional bow to use as a springboard to dive into taking up archery as a regular hobby
4 hours of archery training (including guidance & lessons delivered by skilled instructors)
Innovative target systems to challenge skilled young archers, from controlling breathing to posture & strength exercises
WINTER TERM: Junior School Pupils (Middle and Upper School pupils will have the opportunity at a later date)
DATES: Sundays 20th Jan, 27th Jan, 3rd Feb, 10th Feb
TIME: 3pm - 4pm
LOCATION: James Elliman School, Elliman Avenue, Slough SL2 5BA
COST: £36 for 4 sessions
EXTRA CURRICULAR ENRICHMENT FOR YOUTH TARBIYA WEEKEND SCHOOL
As part of our ethos of turning 'informative learning into transformative learning', emphasis is placed on moulding and nurturing our youth into well-rounded individuals in various fields - not just in studies. As such, specialist enrichment opportunities will be arranged throughout the School Year to allow pupils to explore their interests - whether that is in art, horse-back riding, archery, talent shows, cookery, calligraphy amongst others. This will offer the unique opportunity for pupils who would otherwise not have the chance to explore such activities and perhaps spark a lifelong interest in non-traditional passions.
