Police Knife Crime Workshop

IslamHood Youth Tarbiya Weekend School invites all children aged 7-18 to join them for their workshop on knife crime by Thames Valley Police on Sunday 10th March.

This is a very important topic in the current climate for both boys and girls. Statistics show that knife crime is at an all-time high. "Doctors said the injuries they were treating were becoming more severe and the victims were getting younger, with increasing numbers of girls involved." (BBC: 04/03/2019)

Children will have the opportunity to meet with the police officers in their uniform and see the police car up close! An exciting moment for many, we're sure!

Date: Sunday 10th March

Time: 1-3pm

OPEN TO ALL CHILDREN AGED 7-18

EXTRA CURRICULAR ENRICHMENT FOR YOUTH TARBIYA WEEKEND SCHOOL
This workshop has been organised for IslamHood Youth Tarbiya Weekend School as part of their transformative learning syllabus. We pride ourselves on offering an engaging & interactive values-based character development syllabus which is contextualised & relevant to young Muslims living in Britain.

This syllabus focuses on the moral, spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, emotional and social development of young Muslims in Britain, inspiring them to become well rounded in their world-view, confident in their identity, active in their communities and ethical in their dealings.

As we're sure you're aware, there has been a highly publicised recent spike in knife crime in and around the London area, so this is a highly relevant workshop that has been organised in conjunction with Thames Valley Police.

Due to the importance of the topic, we are inviting children who are not yet part of the School to benefit in'sha'Allah.

As there are a limited number of spaces available for external children, we do require you to confirm if your child(ren) will be attending as we expect this to be very popular.
